Mr. Herchenroether is Of Counsel to the firm and a member of the firm’s Estates and Trusts and Tax practice areas.
His practice focuses on personal estate planning and estate and trust administration. He has counseled Executors and Trustees managing both large and complex as well as small and simple administrations. His knowledge and expertise has been recognized by the Orphans’ Court Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania by his appointment as Master to advise the Court in several complex matters. The Probate and Trust Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association elected Mr. Herchenroether to serve a term as a member of its Council and he and other Council members developed and taught a professional development course with the Court for attorneys handling estate administrations. Mr. Herchenroether has presented lectures and instruction for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the National Business Institute. He is counsel to several non-profit charitable organizations and also represents clients involved in real estate and tax matters. He has handled cases for appeal in both federal and Pennsylvania courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Herchenroether has been active in his church and community, serving on numerous boards and committees, including the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Westminster College.
