Mr. Tedder is a Shareholder and Director of the firm and a member of the firm’s Litigation, Construction, and Energy and Natural Resources Services Groups. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of construction and commercial litigation as well as project development transactional matters. He has handled a wide range of complex construction and commercial disputes for owners, sureties, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. His construction claim experience includes construction/design defect claims, delay/acceleration claims, extra work/unjust enrichment claims, mechanics’ liens, surety indemnification claims, surety takeovers, payment/performance bond claims and termination for cause/convenience claims. Mr. Tedder also has substantial experience negotiating and drafting turnkey EPC, construction and architectural and engineering services agreements. Mr. Tedder has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2015 and 2016 in the fields of Construction Law and Litigation.

  • Represented national engineering and construction firm in litigation against turbine manufacturer in connection with construction of a $150 million waste-to-energy mass burn facility.
  • Represented largest power cooperative in the United States in connection with a multibillion dollar procurement and construction program for a series of biomass and gas-fired power generating facilities.
  • Represented U.S. producer of alumina in an approximate $30 million international arbitration against a United Arab Emirates metals-trading company.
  • Represented national engineering firm in connection with claims collectively in excess of $6 million relating to a bridge construction project.
  • Represented national development company in litigation matter involving multi-million dollar latent construction/design defect claims.
  • Represented natural resources pipeline contractor in an approximate $17 million dispute against a national oil and gas operator.
  • Represented oil and gas exploration and production company in litigation involving impoundment construction defect claims.
