Richard C. Lane
Mr. Lane is a Shareholder and Director of the firm and Chairman of the Financial Services Group. Mr. Lane’s practice is primarily devoted to counseling financial institutions and financial service companies with respect to compliance with consumer lending laws and regulations. Specific areas in which he has worked extensively include consultation regarding the development of direct lending and indirect finance programs, the loan documents for those programs, internet payment systems, alternative student loan programs, electronic disclosures for consumer finance transaction, disclosures for electronic bill presentment and payment plans, portfolio recalculations for corrective action, privacy, credit reporting, use of consumer credit reports and debt collection.
